Cynthia Johnson believes in organisations: she is not one who criticises them or holds a cynical view of their intent and operations. She is more likely to take an Appreciative Inquiry approach to companies and a positive psychology approach to working with the people who make organisations tick and who commit to helping generate wealth and value. Cynthia has been in the Organisational Development (OD) field for over 20 years. She has spent most of her career in New Zealand working for public and private sectors and has also worked in the UAE and China. Her mantra, and the one she has led teams by, is to “simplify the lives of busy managers.” This has led to an ongoing search for cut through insights and solutions. You will see all of this in both the books she is led to review and in her conclusions. When she isn’t reading, Cynthia is attempting Bikram Yoga or attending a boxing class. An odd combination she admits. She loves her little garden and her bright pink electric bike but isn’t much of a cook.
