Lifelong learner: I am a veteran English teacher, a theatre director,a lifelong learner, and I earned my doctorate in 2016 - hence, thelearningdoctor. I am addicted to learning, so I just keep going to school. I have a BA in English and Secondary Education from Cedarville University in Ohio, a M. Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Frostburg State University in Maryland, a M. Ed. in Educational Technology from James Madison University in Virginia, and a Doctor of Education (D. Ed.) degree from Frostburg University. I have taught at private and public schools, all grades 7-12. After teaching English for so many years, in 2015 I was asked to establish a theatre department in our new high school. I did, and I thoroughly enjoyed being a theatre director and instructor for four years. I now live near Savannah, GA, and I am doing my own research and free-lance writing. I am enjoying my time with my granddaughter in the beauty of the low country. I plan to do adjunct work at on-line universities in their education departments, write articles and books focused on the craft of teaching, and conduct professional development workshops on student engagement and other topics for high schools.
