Marie Seltenrych

Born in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland, where I grew up to be a dreamer, a celebrity and an inadvertent adventurer: moved to Australia when I was 22, all alone and feeling very smug. I try to never look back, or simply to learn about my mistakes if I do look back. Very philosophical person and I give out loads of advice to anyone who needs it or wants it. I am a real old granny, correcting children in the streets when they are out of control, kicking someone or fighting. It is a reactive thing with me. I haven't blogged here much because it takes me ten times longer than it should. I have been telling stories (yarns) since I was six or seven years old. I was a very excitable little girl back then, and I wish I had the same energy I did once upon a time. I have always loved reading and simply devoured books I could get my little paws onto. I also loved acting and often dressed up in mother's old gowns, stealing them to play games. She turned a blind eye to that prank. I now draw pictures and write stories and have even become a publisher, so I think I am quite happy. I love helping others to get up and fly, or stand, or publish their books too. I love my beloved Henry and live quietly with him and two cats. His love for Millie is next to his love for me. She canoodles him when she gets a chance. Georgina (George) likes her space and does not get too close. She sits near my feet.
