Lovar Davis Kidd

Lovar Davis Kidd (L.D.), a Cedar Rapids native, is a registered yoga teacher and licensed Toula Yoga massage therapist. L.D. is also an interdisciplinary artist who amplifies marginalized voices through choreography, performance, and visual art. He earned his MFA in Choreography from the University of Iowa, blending Black vernacular movement, technology, and social justice. Founder of 100% OVER RACISM, Kidd has performed nationally in In The Heights and Aida and with EDGEWORKS Dance Theater. He teaches with Throughline Arts and formerly at the University of Iowa and Nolte Academy. Recent projects include The Sound of Movement, supported by the Warhol Foundation, and the Iowa Arts Council, blending movement and technology, and enuf. supported by the NEA and the Iowa Arts Council, highlighting Black expression, healing, and community-based storytelling.
