Michelle was born and raised most of her life in southern Louisiana, which cultivated a love for storytelling. Her writing journey began at a young age, but it wasn't until she had children that she discovered the importance of telling those stories. However, it was her teaching, writing, and social work careers that deepened her compassion and understanding of God's people and their stories. Eventually, she shifted her focus to helping others find their own stories by establishing a community Christian Art Center. In 2021, Hurricane Ida devastated her community, destroying the art center, and Michelle sought guidance from the Lord. She found solace in God's word and embarked on a new mission to help others discover their story in what remained through her latest Bible study series, Lost & Found. Michelle lives with her husband in southern Louisiana and is navigating her new story as a mother with three adult children creating their own stories.
