Karissa Chen

Karissa Chen is a writer who splits her time between New York and Taipei. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including The Atlantic, Eater, Longreads, Gulf Coast, PEN America, Guernica, and Catapult. She is a 2015-16 Fulbright Fellow to Taiwan and a Mid Atlantic Creative Arts Fellow to Millay Colony of the Arts. She is also a proud Kundiman Fellow and VONA/Voices Fellow. A graduate of the MFA program of Sarah Lawrence College, she currently serves as an Editor-in-Chief at Hyphen magazine, the Senior Fiction Editor at The Rumpus, and a Contributing Editor at Catapult. She is working on a novel.
