Nipmuc Regional High School

John Clements is Principal of Nipmuc Regional High School, a 1:1 learning school in Upton, Massachusetts. Mr. Clements is part of a talented team of educators that is committed to redefining teaching and learning through the integration of instructional technology. He acts as a leader of the school’s 1:1 learning program, establishing a vision for technology integration that is rooted in the school’s core values and beliefs about learning. Mr. Clements and his team have established a vibrant STEM program at Nipmuc, providing students with rigorous academics and meaningful connections to colleges and careers. He has presented his school’s efforts with technology integration and STEM programming at the 2014 National Science Teachers’ Association conference, the 2016 Leading Future Learning Conference, the 2015 Learn Launch conference, the 2014 & 2015 MSSAA Summer Institutes, the 2014 & 2015 Massachusetts STEM Summit, the Blackstone Valley 1:1 Learning Summit, Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) STEM Education Center, and WPI’s AweSTEM event. Mr. Clements is in his seventh year as a Commissioner for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Committee on Public Secondary Schools. Through this work he supports other schools’ improvement efforts by guiding their adherence to the standards for accreditation. He is the recipient of NEASC’s 2016 Jacob Ludes III Leadership Award. In addition, Mr. Clements serves as President of the Blackstone Valley Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports innovative educational programming to assist students’ development of 21st century skills by connecting classrooms with industry.
