Harminder Thind, also known as Hermin Thind, has spent over twenty years building businesses focused on operational efficiency and a people-first philosophy. From his early days running a Subway franchise to growing Vapor Maven into a multi-state operation, his career has been defined by steady progress, careful risk-taking, and a commitment to his local community. Born in 1980 in Punjab, India, he moved with his family to Seattle in 1992 when he was twelve years old. This transition shaped his values of hard work, independence, and the pursuit of opportunity. After high school, he earned an associate degree in computer science but soon discovered that business ownership was his true calling. At the age of 19, he purchased a Subway franchise, where he acquired essential business skills, including managing staff, overseeing inventory, and delivering top-notch customer service. These early experiences laid the foundation for his leadership style, which emphasizes presence, swift problem-solving, and leading by example. After selling his Subway franchise, he ventured into other businesses, including managing a Dairy Queen and opening the first Indian restaurant in a small town. Later, his family acquired a motel in Springdale, Arkansas, where, during the 2007 recession, he took over operations to ensure its survival. This challenging period helped him develop resilience and refine his skills in managing costs and improving customer satisfaction. In 2014, Harminder recognized an opportunity in the vaping market and opened the first Vapor Maven store. His goal was to provide quality products and education about safer alternatives to smoking. As the business expanded, he concentrated on developing systems for hiring, training, and maintaining consistency across all locations. Today, he continues to lead with a hands-on approach, focusing on growth while remaining committed to community involvement.
