Aleksandr Chandra

As an aspiring Elder and LGBTQIA+ Rights Activist and Organizer, Aleksandr's current area of interest is aging and the generational gap. Alek internationalized his education by spending a semester abroad in Delhi, India, where he studied both industrial/organizational psychology and child and adolescent development at Delhi University. This past summer he completed his funded internship at the Agewell Foundation in Delhi, India, and founded Mending Maya, a program that bridges the generational gap through meaningful connection. On campus, Alek is a teacher’s assistant in the Psychology Department and is the vice president of Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology. He also works as an outreach coordinator for a non-profit called Sages & Seekers and enjoys conversing in Hindi with friends around campus. Post-graduation, Alek hopes to attend graduate school for psychology.
